Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow - Header finished, dreaming of California on such a winter day...

I am so glad to show you my first block of Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow!
It is very funny to stitch, I love subjects and colours..it's the perfect design!

It is March, really? We are having a huge snow in those hours, and it is still snowing while I'm writing. I love this kind of weather! But as I am so cold, I started thinking of the song "Californa dreaming"...and my head went back to this summer when I was in the USA.

You can imagine how I was happy to be here!

Ad this is the first place after California border on the Route 66:

As the songs says, "I'd be safe and warm if I was in LA"...so here's my LA pics even if I'm not getting warm seeing them!) :)

This is our first sight of the Pacific Ocean in our life...behind us, the plate where Route 66 officially ends...it was such an emotion after traveling from Chicago along 10 states of the US... Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and California...

A memento left on Santa Monica Pier..

..going on to the beach...close to the Pacific Ocean for the first time in our life

Here it is! The beach, the Ocean...and a brand new lifeguard :D Baywatch theme was in my head :)

An unforgettable trip....
until next time,

it's Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow....again :)

Hi again!
Another block is done, this is from Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow, block VII. I loved stitching this one, even if the snow, stitched with Thread Gathered silk "Mint Frost" was tooo long!

This is my Christmas at HRH situation..two blocks done, ten blocks to go...it's a long long road...!

Last saturday I went to a stitching and crafts fair, in Bergamo, there was a lot of good stuff, but this was the one I loved best.
Those are Nicoletta Farrauto's works, ( http://niky-nikyscreations.blogspot.com/ ) aren't just beautiful? I loved them on her blog, but seeing them finished...wow, that was awesome.

Nicoletta's works were hosted at "Point de Marque" stand, which is a needlework shop located in Milan (http://pointdemarque.com)
Look here, those are other wonderful stuff of them

I also met Livia of Rovaris, www.rovaris.it , I did not talke pictures but go and visit her site, she has wonderful charts and other things!

and...this has nothing to do with stitching, but I just want to share...I found those earrings this morning..I thin I will not wait until the 4th of July to wear them!

Have a nice day, or evening!
For me it's evening, time to stich and watch some politics on tv!!

Again from 2009

I would like to share some other finshes of 2009.

This is a picture of the presents that I gave to dear BF for our 12th anniversary, in November 27th 2009. We spent a weekend in Dublin and it was lovely!
I stitched two Carriage House Samplings charts and a Renato Parolin one. I made three pillows. Then, I added a picture taken this summer at The Joshua Tree Park in California

This one is what I call "Autumn Basket",filled with Prairie Schooler charts, all pillow-finished. Seems like I'm in a pillow period, right? :)
I love this basket, and even if it's Winter is still being displayed in my home!!

Until next time, yours in stitches

Greetings from Rolla, Missouri!

Hi! I am writing from an hotel in Rolla, Missouri. I have reached Missouri after traveling along the whole Illinois. I loved it, and I love Route 66!
Today I have been in St.Louis, and of course on top of Gateway Arch, it was awesome! Tomorrow plans are to arrive in Kansas and Oklahoma!

No cross stitching in those days..no time at all!

I am enjoying USA so much...I love this country!

Dancing in the dark!

This is a non-stitching post..but a ROCK'n'ROLL post!

Last tuesday I went to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert in Turin. It was a GREAT one! 3 hours of pure ROCK'n'ROLL music, and the Boss was astonishing! Here's some pictures:

You can't start a fire sitting 'round crying over a broken heart
This gun's for hire
Even if we're just dancing in the dark
You can't start a fire worrying about your little world falling apart
This gun's for hire
Even if we're just dancing in the dark
